Unlike specialists who focus on a single product line, we deliberately maintain a diverse suite of services under one roof. This flexibility allows our clients to explore unique combinations of design and fabrication without bouncing between different shops. Here, advanced machinery and artisanal skill converge to bring your vision to life. At Intravect, we believe that every project—whether it’s a custom vehicle interior, a business sign, or a small‑batch prototype—deserves the same level of attention and craftsmanship.

What We Offer

Prototyping & Small‑Batch Manufacturing

Three metallic push-button switches labeled 'LIGHT', 'AIR', and 'OFF' placed on a wooden surface.

Because we house both subtractive and additive manufacturing tools, Intravect is equipped to support product designers, engineers and inventors seeking prototypes or small production runs. We understand how critical it is to iterate quickly and accurately during the development process.

Our Capabilities

  • Rapid Prototyping: Using our FDM 3‑D printers, we build proof‑of‑concept models and functional prototypes from thermoplastics. These models allow clients to test fit, function, and ergonomics before committing to expensive tooling.

  • 3-axis CNC Routing: For parts requiring greater strength or precision, we use our 3-axis CNC router to route wood, MDF, foam, aluminum, or plastic. We can produce brackets, enclosures, fixtures, patterns, and molds.

  • Laser Cutting: When prototypes include thin components or intricate shapes, our CO₂ laser cuts and engraves with minimal kerf. This is ideal for gaskets, overlays, faceplates, and small parts.

  • Assembly and Finishing: Our team can assemble prototypes, apply finishes (paint, stain, clear coat), and incorporate hardware or electronics. This results in a polished, presentation‑ready product.

Small‑Batch Production

Some clients need dozens rather than thousands of parts. Our facility is well‑suited for manufacturing runs of 5–500 units. We use our CNC router for consistent part production and our laser for engraving serial numbers, logos or assembly guides. For more complex parts, we can combine machining with 3‑D printing or manually assemble subcomponents.

3‑D Scanning & Reverse Engineering

When a part exists only in physical form—perhaps it’s a vintage car component, a sculpture or an object with organic curves—replicating it can be a challenge. Intravect’s 3‑D scanning service eliminates guesswork. Using handheld scanners, we capture the geometry of an object as millions of data points. This data becomes a digital 3‑D model that we can modify or reproduce.

Use Cases

  • Restoration Projects: Recreate missing or damaged trim pieces for vintage cars by scanning a matching part and milling or printing a replica.

  • Product Development: Scan a hand‑sculpted prototype to bring it into CAD software for further refinement and manufacturing.

  • Custom Fitting: Capture the precise dimensions of a space (e.g., dashboard, door panel, helm station) to ensure that newly fabricated components fit perfectly.

Once scanned, we can modify the geometry in CAD software and generate machine code for the CNC router or 3‑D printer. This workflow guarantees accuracy and reduces trial and error.

Digital Design & Consultation

Every project starts with a conversation. Our design services help you move from concept to production quickly and confidently.

Why Choose Us

Stitchwurx—now part of Intravect—earned national recognition when owner Rick Esterly won the 2019 “NC Auto Interior of the Year” award at the SEMA Show, thanks to a beautifully designed and meticulously stitched 1935 Chevy coupe interior. Our commitment to quality means that we treat every project as if it were headed for the show floor. We also recognize that every client’s style is different; our collaborative design process ensures that your finished interior reflects your personality and lifestyle.

Custom Signage and Décor

Our CO₂ laser cutter and CNC router allow us to produce detailed signs, ornaments and plaques in a variety of materials. Craftwurx began as a laser‑engraving hobby and quickly grew into a full‑fledged business because of the machine’s ability to render complex designs with speed and precision. Now, as part of Intravect, we offer signage and décor items for homes, offices and events.

Types of Projects

  • Business Signs: From large acrylic panels with standoff mounts to rustic wooden signs carved from eight‑foot slabs, our portfolio includes logos, storefront signs and directional signage. You choose the material—cedar, pine, hardwood, PVC, acrylic or metal—and we handle the design, engraving and finishing.

  • Home Décor: Seasonal door hangers, farmhouse‑style cedar signs, engraved family name plaques, and interchangeable holiday décor are among our most popular items. Each piece is cut, engraved or painted to match your aesthetic.

  • Ornaments & Keychains: Personalized ornaments, keychains and small plaques are perfect for gifts or promotional items. Our laser can engrave delicate details on wood, acrylic or leather, while the CNC router shapes complex outlines.

  • Realtor and Corporate Gifts: Gift baskets with engraved cutting boards, coasters, personalized wine glasses or custom art pieces show appreciation to clients and partners. Realtors often commission welcome signs or name plaques for new homeowners.

  • Art & Commemorative Pieces: We produce memorial plaques, family crests, animal silhouettes and custom artwork for walls, patios and gardens. Each piece starts with a consultation to capture the story you want to tell.

Materials and Finishes

Our shop works with a wide range of materials, including cedar, pine, walnut, bamboo, Baltic birch plywood, acrylic, PVC, aluminum and leather. We offer natural wood stains, vibrant paints, clear coats and UV‑resistant finishes to ensure durability indoors or outdoors. For layered signs, our laser precisely cuts individual pieces, which we then hand‑assemble and secure with adhesives or hardware.

Event Signage and Displays

If you’re planning a trade show, corporate event or party, Intravect can fabricate signage and displays to attract attention. We create centerpieces, table numbers, directional signs, seating charts and decorative backdrops. Combining our CNC router and laser cutter, we achieve 3‑D lettering, multi‑layer designs and precise cutouts. Our event pieces arrive ready to set up, saving you precious time on event day.

Gifts are often more meaningful when they’re made specifically for the recipient. Our custom gifts range from small ornaments to elaborate commemorative boards. Whether you’re celebrating a wedding, retirement, graduation or corporate milestone, we help you create a piece that captures the occasion.

Common Gift Items

  • Personalized Cutting Boards and Coasters: Laser‑engraved with names, dates, monograms, corporate logos, or family recipes.

How We Work

Person using a laptop with a black fitness tracker on their wrist, pointing at the screen with their index finger.

  1. Discovery Meeting: We listen to your ideas, goals and constraints. For automotive projects, we examine the vehicle, take measurements and discuss performance requirements. For signage or prototypes, we talk about size, location, style and messaging.

  2. Concept Development: Using sketches and 3‑D software, we create preliminary designs. You review renderings and provide feedback. Changes at this stage are fast and inexpensive.

  3. Engineering and Toolpathing: Once approved, we build detailed CAD models and generate toolpaths for our CNC machines. For upholstery, we pattern fabrics and plot cutting lines. For signage, we define laser settings and assembly sequences.

  4. Fabrication and Assembly: We cut, engrave, print, sew or machine each component and then assemble them. Throughout the process, we maintain open communication and encourage you to stop by or request photos.

Our consulting services extend to material selection, structural analysis, finish options and mounting methods. We aim to make the design process collaborative and transparent.
